I may have a chance to buy a like-new...06 model for around $650.00.

Is there a better all purpose binocular (vacations, some football, some birding , etc.) in that price range that I should 1st look at that price point?

Thank you for your time......Tooie

if you can find a 7x50 polaris by fujinon - you'll be rediculously pleased.
Fujinon Polaris 7x50 FMTR-SX
7x50 is VERY comfortable for extended viewing - i think 8+ power starts to add to fatigue
when looking for long periods of time.

Better than any steiner I have ever looked through.  And I mean that.

Good luck.
