They have not made those in many years.  There were a few versions and one is really hard to mount because it only has about one inch of tube for the front ring to mount on which does not allow you to slide the scope back and forth for proper eye relief.

+1 and the few I ever saw ALL had a problem whereas the innards rattled and the reticle moved around. I saw quite a few like this at an old-time firearms distributorship called Walter Craig based in Selma, Al.
I have always thought highly of their binos, but not so much of the scopes.

If you guys are talking about the Steiner Penetrator scopes I believe they were made by Zeiss to Steiner's specs using Steiner glass. Many, many moons ago, Steiner had a demo of those scopes where some guy was pounding tent stakes into the ground and they mounting the scope on a rifle to show how it didn't change impact at all. I had one of those in 1.5-6x42 and I thought the optics were great. It was a heavy scope though.

I don't recall all the models off the top of my head, but the one I had was a 1.5-6x42. They probably only had three models with various reticles as options. Every once in a while, I see a 1.5-6 pop up for sale but they are usually beat to sh*tt.

Found this pic of a 3-9x42 which I didn't even remember them making.

The ones I remember had a long objective end, similar to the Bushnell Elite scopes in 50 mm.
