So I am not one to typically bash a company publicly as I have learned that really does not pan out well for either party.  But I feel this should be shared, and hopefully it will not bite me in the butt

My buddy and I both ordered AR uppers from Rguns.net on Jan 2 of 2013.  They claimed the parts were in stock and would ship within 3 to 4 weeks .  I thought great, 4 weeks is nothing.  I even emailed them before my purchase and they said they had the upper in stock.  So I placed the order.

Well over the past few months I have not received anything.  They will not answer their phone and their voice mail is full.  They did not reply to emails.  So I started sending the same email over and over twice a day for 4 days.  Finally I got a reply saying it would ship in 2 to 3 weeks, and that they are working 24 hours a day just for shipping.  And that I should not be bothering them with order questions as I am wasting their time.  Well that was 2 months ago.   I started my emailing thing again 4 days ago and have not received a reply.

My buddy called me Tuesday and said he thinks he got scammed.  Said they charged his card 3 weeks ago for over $600 and sent a UPS tracking number.  But when he checks the number it says no shipment has been received by UPS.  His has been emailing them 6 times a day for the past week and has not received a reply.  He now says when he sends them an email he gets a return email saying it cannot be delivered, which is odd as mine seems to be going through.  So it makes me wonder if they have blocked his email account.

I did some research online and it appears this is the norm for them.  They just don't ship and when you try to cancel then they charge you a $100 fee for canceling.

So I canceled my credit card today and sent them an email canceling my order.  I dare bet I will get a reply this time.  As others have said they got a reply when they did this and they were pretty rude about it.

So I would recommend steering clear of them.  Maybe this is just a result of the crazyness that is going on in the gun world right now.  But I will prefer to do my business with someone else who is a bit more forthcoming and honest.

They are being talked about on multiple sites with the same situation.  I would dispute the charge and move on.

Sorry you have to go through this crap. Did you actually cancel your card or just dispute that charge?

I never got charged.  So not harm done to me.  I just canceled my card and sent an email to them canceling the order.

My buddy on the other hand has to dispute the charges and go through all that crap.

Sorry to hear this Jason, good to hear you came away without having to recover any money.

The credit card company should take care of your buddy, it'll just take a month or so.

Under the "new normal" in the entitlement society, your credit score will probably suffer due to cancellation of your card... I was going to get rid of several cards and found it would damage my credit... so I just stuck them in my safe and haven't used them in a couple of years.  I still get statements with "0.00" balance every month.
What a country...

I am sorry you went through that... I really HATE crooks...

Yeah that part does suck. It amazes me the things that will affect a credit score

Actually as i get thinking about it, i dont think what i did will affect my credit score. I did not close the line of credit, i just canceled the physical card number and they will issue me a new number. No different than it expiring or losimg the card

Hate to hear you had a bad experience. I've had pretty good experience with them in the past. That being said, I have been waiting since Dec 19th on 2 Stag M-4 kits from AR15 sales, but they said up front it would be 12-16 weeks, and they charged my card immediately. They've done this before, but always delivered.
I just today received an order from The Sportsman's Guide for a dozen 30 rd GI mags I ordered, also on Dec 19th. They were all "Brownells" brand mags.ExcellentExcellentExcellent  The panic buying has all gun related businesses running crazy.
Just be sure to watch your card for charges later.
Good luck .
