Guys that bought them over on ARFCOM really seem to like them.
I think the Stags I have shot and been around, have been a good, quality AR and would serve you well. 
 
I damn near bought one of those LH Stag uppers to "stick it to the man". Nut%20Kicker

Just one thing to remember, they are not truely a left handed rifle.  They just have a left handed ejection port.  All the controls are still set up for a right handed user.  I don't see the value of only having the upper left handed when you still have to manipulate everything (charging handle, mag release, bolt catch, safety and windage knob) set up for a right hander.  There are benefits to having your face on the same side as the ejection port anyway - you can see in the port for reloads, malfunctions and after action bolt checks. I say don't spend the extra money unless it is your justification for a new and different toy.
