I would go with the SS 10 or 16 the 20 is effected by heat waves etc.to much unless you live in a cool part of the country. I have a 6.5 to 20 Nikon and the 20 is useless this time of year.

I had one of the 20x and I liked a lot of things about it. I still have two of the 10x models and I like them even better, one has side focus. If you plan to use the rifle for anything other than strictly target shooting I would go with the 10x .    At 1000 yds it is like open sights at 100 yds, and I think you would be really happy with it. Now if you already have something that is in that hunting stalking range like a 3-9 and want a 20x scope for shooting targets at several hundred yards 20X might be for you. The 16X is also a nice scope so just order all three and buy two more rifles and you are set.

Urimaginaryfrnd now if I could just convince my wife on your philosophy of scope & rifle ownership I would have it made. She just can`t see why I need more rifles

Well if you are going fixed power I would go with the 10X if you are going to be doing anything else other than punching paper with the gun.  I have a 4x16 on my 22-250 and hardly ever take it up to 16.  I actually keep it on 10-12 most of the time.  That being said I like it on 16 when I am at the range just punchin paper.
