I have SS 10x42m rear focus mounted on savage 10fple. Great scope for the money, but
i have noticed that elavation clicks are very quiet and mushy as compared to windage.
i have tried working turret bottom to top many times with no change. It does not appear
to have to much grease around o-ring but I have not tried to remove any. This is not
a real problem but if anyone has a simple fix i would appreciate any advice.

Welcome to The OT!!
Remove the elevation turret, wipe off the grease, replace with a very light coating of dielectric silicone lube from an auto parts supply. ( spark plug boot lube )  Should work now.

Mine was terrible, the ELV that is. I tried new O ring, removing grease, no O ring nothing helped. I lapped them but the WND got betterm the ELV nothing changed.  It was mushy from day one but what bugged me was how it wiggled between index marks 1/8 each side; to me something was not right. In the cold, nothing but a stiff turret, it would rotate with great force but nothing, clicks or stops. I could live with the mushy but not the wiggle and no stops in the cold.
I sent mine back and they sent me a new SS. Both ELV and WND are near indentical in stops; very audible, tacticle, positive, etc, clicks and in cold around 15* for two hours, just like it was in a 65 degree far that is, have not been out in below zero yet. I am now a happy customer of SS, Chris did me right as a customer. After receiving my new SS, I know something was wrong with my first SS. Thanks Chris
