Hi

I'm new here so howdy.

I've got a Kimber Longmaster VT in .22-250.  I shoot 100-200 yds. targets for fun.  I'm going to order a SS10x42M as I've never tried a fixed power.

What ring height should I order?  The rifle has Leupold standard(wind/rear, dvtl/front) bases installed.

Thanks!

bob

Additional Questions:

I shoot mostly at 100 yds.  Would having parallax correction be of any real use?

If I opt for the SS16Xx42 how much mirage would I have fight at 100 yds?

As I said, I shoot for fun...the rifle is bone stock.  I'm just trying to be realistic and buy what I need...any input appreciated!

You'll probably be OK with medium height rings.  I've got a Leupold 6X42 on my Kimber 84 in low rings, but it has a smaller barrel than you've got.

Thanks mwyates...I think mediums will probably do it, too.

RANT>>>

I wish manufacturers would publish dimensions on their scopes and mounts.  It would make it easier to figure this stuff out!

Thanks again!
