Hey folks.  Should have a brand new 10x Super Sniper delivered today. I will be putting this on an M1A/M14.  I was wondering what heigth rings might be best to start with as far as mounting?  I haven't decided which rings to go with yet but I wondered if you folks have some preliminary suggestions.

Thanks

The side mount is requires fitting by a gunsmith and goes to weaver base.  Badger rings are the best and reflect that in price.  Leupold quick release mounts will work although you really dont need a QR system as the removal of the two Huge screws on the side reciever mount allows quick removal of everything. I have some Springfield Armory 30mm rings and they are ok but nothing to write home about. I 'd stick with Leupold or Burris and Warne would be a good choice. I tend not to like the weaver rings that dovetail on one side and screw together on the opposite side.

You will find the big problem with the system is the lack of an adequate cheekpiece.  McMillan makes a stock that solves this but it's spendy and requires glass bedding.  I went back to iron sights until I can afford the stock.
