After glowing reviews, I bit on a nice used 10X SS. I have a Leupold 6.5-20x on my PSS that can print .5 MOA with reloads, but I've thought about going the 30MM route for that gun. I'm also in the need for a precision SPR type upper scope for an AR project using a Rainier 18" SS bbl with 1/8 twist for the heavier match bullets. Until I can get a 3x9 SS variable, I'd like to know which ring height would work for: A; the PSS .308 as low as I can go, or B; an AR with a FF rail, again, as low as I can go. I'd love to have Badger rings, but hey...I got the SS for a $$ reason. I like the HRT rings for the ($80) price or maybe the Burris Xtreme's. Due to the 42mm lens, do any of you have experience on which height I should use with either setup?

Double duty between the guns would be great with the same rings as needed. I will probably put the Leupold on either my Rem matte ADL in .243 for deer/coyotes, or a nice Rem .22-250 (which I think is better) for just coyotes or other smaller varmits, like bobcats or foxes...    I'm curious about feedback on the Leupold 3x9 MK AR's for AR use....

Sounds like you are going several directions at once.  Last one first Leu 3-9 Mk Ar better a FX3 fixed 6x42 with long range duplex - very bright nice glass with a balistic reticle that will work well for the effective distance of an .223  zero it at 200 and use the hold over marks for 300 & 400 and where the line goes thin to thick for 500  test it with your ammo to see how close those are but should be good to go.
If you can afford to go straight to the 3-9x42 Super Sniper you should just buy it though.
Your PSS likely is a .308  Rem 700 police and the 10x SS will work nicely.  I have a similar rifle that I am running Leupold dual dovetail rings and base they are steel and tough as nails so until you get to where you want Badgers I'd stay with leupold dual dovetail or Warne rings which also are steel.  Want aluminum the best would be the one piece lightweight Talley.  42mm scope w lens caps = medium rings.   If you want to take a scope on and off use La Rue mounts.

Trust me, if more $$, I'd have the LaRue SPR-E for the AR. I have the alum rings that came with the SS, just don't trust them for HD use if needed. I would be using BC covers. I don't have a scope on any of my 7 ARs, thought about putting the SS on a 16" until I get my FF 18" SPR setup complete. Ultimately, I want a MR/T on that gun.

I'm leaning on the PSS direction ( which I have the Leupold 1" dual doves on now ) and although they are sweet mounts, I just wanted to move towards a more "bullet proof" base/rings that "could" be used on another platform in a pinch. I want to do a decent upgrade to my factory Rem PSS .308 police with a one pc rail base, strong mounts, and a bolt handle upgrade when I can. Like a lot of us, we have more guns than we can "complement out" to the hilt.

I can go a step at a time with many projects I have going. I put a squeeze on the CC before our sorryass CNC got bought in, so I need to pay off some "to be banned" stuff. There's still time for that POS to try to cram some type of anti-gun bill through like all his other "transparent" crap. Like in Switzerland, every able-bodied man and woman needs to be prepared for the attempt to screw the US and it's Constitution. I'm just trying to keep up with what I can afford on many different weapon levels if it comes to another 1776.LocoVote all communists out next year. THEY WORK FOR US! We are NOT their subjects like other "passive" countries have become. THEY are screwed. NEVER HERE!
GOD bless our troops and the homeland Patriots (who FAR outnumber our beloved troops). This is why b.o. wants to have his own little brown shirts........like Hitler.

I would hold out until the first of the year for the SS AR mount. It will be your best mounting solution for your AR.   For the 308 the Burris' you mentioned are good if your on the budget.  You would be hard pressed to find a scope in the same price that compares with any of the SS's. I think you are headed down the right track.
