Hi guys I'm new here. Was here a few years back lurking and checking on the SS 10x scope. I liked what i read about the ss 10x and i purchased one. I mounted it on a rem. 700 custom job chambered in 17 rem. with a 1-9 twist.shooting a 30 gr bt. bullet. I use this rifle for coyotes. I made shots with this combo out to 556 yds on running coyotes and coyotes that where bedded down. I like the scope alot i even had a Kenton BDC dial added and it has helped me connect on the longer shots. I'm in the process of haveing another coyote rifle being built and it well be chambered in a 17 pred. cartridge with a Stiller pred. action. My question is i would like to get another ss10x for my new rifle, is todays ss10x as good as the first one i purchased a few years back or have they changed some. I hang out on other sites and i hear rumors. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.. |

I'm the new guy as far as the ss is concerned i've only had mine for about a month. But what i can tell you so far is that my ss is a damn good scope.Ihave mine mounted on a remington sendero 300 win mag.Allthough i have only put about 100 rounds through this rifle scope combo so far it has been flawless out to 300 yards. The only thing i don't like about it is i wish that the turrets were a little crisper. But my own likes aside this thing is holdin its zero so i have no plans what so ever of getting rid of it.Also on another note its good to hear of the good performance you're having with the 17rem. I've been kicking around for a couple of years having one built on an ar frame for coyotes and prairie dogs

The new ones are fine - no reason to be concerned.
