Check out Konus.  The 20-60x100 is not bad for the money.  A bit more than the $250, but it is decent for the price.

So. I'm looking for a spotting scope also. I know this is an old thread but was hoping to get some insight.

My budget is hopefully less than 500$

My primary use will be at the range looking at bullet holes out to 300 meters. . Ideally 22 caliber holes.
Secondary use will be for hunting so fog pruf and being able to use it in cold, I mean arctic type cold weather.
The above Burris has a good price but will it work? The other I have looked at is the Vortex Diamondback, Viper or the 11-33× Razor HD tho that scope is over my current price range. A heavy scope is not a problem as I'm not a sheep hunter.

Any insight would be much appreciated!!
