Does anyone know what spotting scope I would be able to see a bullet hole on a target that is 500 yards away? I would also like to use it in the field to spot for game.

Any of the high end scopes (Leica, Zeiss, Swarovski, etc.) will do this. If you want to be more frugal Nikon and Bushnell both make scopes that will do the same for less than half the cost.
A Bushnell Elite or Nikon Spotter XL II will run you between $400 and $450 A Nikon Sky and Earth will run you $300 A Bushnell Discoverer will run you about $230 A Bushnell Trophy will run you about $180
Any of these scopes will do what you are asking, some a little better than others. |

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
