Hi
New to this forum, I have done a search but cannot find out if the there is a calculation equation to work out the spotting scope required for distance and size.
I do Target Air Pistol shotting and wanted to know what Spotting scope I would need to get a full view of a 17cm square target at 10 metres.
If anyone knows the size needed can some recommend a spotting scope that will do the job I need.
Thanks for any feedback / advice.

Scope manufacturers list field of view as (feet per 1000 yards) or (meters per 1000 meters.) You need a field of view of more than 51 feet per 1000 yards, or more than 17 meters per 1000 meters. You also need a close focus of under 10 meters.
There are lots of scopes that fit your requirements. |
