Happy thanksgiving guys.!
Here  it is I have an old straight body leupold 30x60 spotter its time to up grade. I use it for target shooting and deer hunting in open country.
my budget is no more than $1000.00 hopefully less thanks for your time and knowledge..

I don't know about the Sightron, but you cannot go wrong with Pentax 65 ED. They are as good as the best.

Perhaps you could offer some more detail as to your intended uses.  Will you be using this scope for:
- Backpacking?
- Digiscoping?
 
Are you wanting a bigger scope to get a better image?  O perhaps a smaller scope for better portability?  Are you getting rid of your Leupold and thus need an "all-around" scope or are you intending this new scope to serve as a supplement to what you already have?

Thanks for the replies. checked out the pentax on the swfa looks good, what about leupold 12x60/HD. is the pentax better,or equal I know not everyone is a leupold fan, but every where I go someone has one. thanks again.

Use will mostly be hunting ,carrying in a pack. want better image and greater distance for open country desert terrain, so just good all around dependable and yes i will be selling or trading my old scope for something  .thank you. for your response.
