After 3 trips back to the factory and basically a complete rebuild, I am somewhat glad to say that I finally hunted for many days without getting mad at my gun. For those that missed my post from last year, my gun has always had extraction issues(amongst several things that have been fixed over the years) but ended up having some free bore issues last year. They rechambered the barrel, replaced the bolt with a newer style, and I had them Cerakote it since the factory finish was wearing very easily.

I got it back in May but did not have an opportunity to shoot it till this weekend. Took 8 shots to get it on at 100yrds. Shot a couple of groups at 300yrds that were 3.5" and 5". Killed a doe at 285yrds which is my longest whitetail kill. Had a few extraction issues but the majority were fine. Had a few feeding issues out of the magazine but most fed fine. Cerakote works awesome and I could not be happier about making that decision.

Here's a picture of a 4 shot 100 yrd group with factory Winchester 168 Ballistic tips. Granted this was the first time I have shot a target in a year. I pulled the trigger on my Tikka in Oct and killed an 8pt , which is the only round I have shot all year period. So I didn't think I did too bad!

Oh yeh, the recoil now is much more managable. It was kicking like a .300 weatherby last year. Now(since the rechamber) it's not a big deal at all!
