I have this little snub nose that i want to get a spurless hammer for. Do they make such a thing?  I have seen 37's without the spur but still and exposed hammer area.  Any ideas? Thanks

Nice gun I'd leave it...  Nobody makes a spur less hammer, some people just do a better job of cutting them off.  Buy a replacement hammer and get it fitted as you like and then keep the factory hammer in case you ever want to go back.

A poorly executed grinding of the hammer can cause problems. The hammer mass is reduced and a new spring may be needed.

The Waller and Sons hammer shroud is a nice way to go. It requires drilling and tapping by a gunsmith. One hole on each side. Once installed it is clean looking and absolutley snag free for pocket carry. You also retain single action capabilty. I have one on a Colt Agent and it is great.

Mine looks similar to this one.

If you can find them, the Bianchi Lightning Grips have a built in shroud and require no smithing. They are hard to find and fuggly, but they work.

These guys supposedly have the last remaining shrouds. http://snubtraining.wordpress.com/waller-and-sons-hammer-shrouds/
Tyler Manufacturing may have some left, too.
