I did kill the skunk but as you can see in the picture the open sores on it's neck and out in the open during daylight hours, plus two recorded cases of rabies in skunks in the township( it was walking over to my house not afraid on me).It didnt suffer, one shot, clean kill and a blad eagle ate the body afterwards.Sharp%20Shooter

I don't think a skunk is afraid of anything  .... saw a nature show where a bear backed off from one ... LOL  About a year ago one kept spraying near my bedroom window at night ... think the neighbor's cats scared him .... wife said "go shoo that thing away ..... yea right ! I've been in the mountains with bears and all kinds of animals ... but I don't screw around with skunks .... walked out one night .... one in my front yard .... he looked at me like " all yea " ... I almost tore the front door off the house getting back in .

They can be tamed really easily, and are very much like a cat, or a ferret, playful and curious like you would never believe. Unless they are FRENCH that is.

No, I don't think a skunk is afraid of anything, either.  I never saw one that I could scare off---except, maybe HALF the time they will run away if you CLAP your hands. I don't think they would back down from an elephant.....they'll just turn around and point their little butt up in the air!!!  Stamp their feet, walk right up to the cats' dish and help themselves!!!  Eek
