Looking for member thoughts on this scope.  I picked one up from Fox Optics for a pretty good price.  I haven't mounted it yet but was quite impressed with the clarity.  It will be mounted on a Stevens 200 in 7mm/08 using Burris bases and Leupold rings.

Should be a nice little affordable setup.

Well, mounted the Aetec on the 7mm/08.  Even though bore sighted after rings were centered up with alignment rods, the rifle wouldn't even print on the target at 100 yards.  Moved to 25 and it was shooting 18" high and 12' right.  brought the grouping to center at 25 and moved back to 100.  Next rounds didn't hit target.  Back to 25, now hitting a foot low left.  I packed it ion at that point as I was wasting ammo.  I also noticed the scope a bit fuzzy at 100 and the elevation adjustment is now sloppy loose.  What a piece of crap.  Had the same problem with a Pentax Gameseeker 4X12.  Now both have to be sent back for repair or replacement.  Pentax wants an additional 19.95 to send me another scope.

I've got high bid on a Bushnell 3200 3x9x40.......lets hope the quality is far better than Pentax or Simmons.

I see you are new.  Welcome to the OT forum.
Just a suggestion, please read the forum rules.

If you purchased your scopes from a reputable organization like SWFA, perhaps you could eliminate some headaches.
Just FYI, I have a Pentax Gameseeker 4x32 mounted on a .458 Lott.  After over 100 rounds, it is still dead zeroed averaging 1/2 MOA groups.  Might just be that scope rather than Pentax in general.  Simmons scope...(which was new), after 4 rounds on a 30-06, won't hold zero, internals damaged.  I'm going to see how well the Simmons holds up to a .458 Lott round after deer season.  Stay tuned.

I agree, be carefull of where you buy optics.  In 25yrs, I've only had to send one scope in for repairs, it was a nikon monarch that was mounted on a 7mag.  The scope wasn't bad, but the adjustment turrents some how got moisture in them and rusted.  Nikon fixed my operator error and sent it back free of charge.

Going to give a Nikon Prostaff 3X9X40 a try.  I'm high bidder with a very reasonable price.  I'll know for sure tonight if it's mine.

Simmons AETEC is hit or miss.I own one and the price was $189.waste of money when you can buy a Sightron S2.The Bushnell 3200 is better than the Nikon Pro Staff. The edge is blurry and fuzzy sent mine back.I have seen them for as little as $80.00 on the net.Cheap over rated scope.

This may sound stupid. but check to make sure that you don't have you scope mounted off cant or turned with the elevation and the left to right in the wrong positions?....ps I am pretty sure you will get a better deal on your scopes here at SWFA.com
