I know, this sounds like a strange request, but the rifle is stainless steel and I want a silver scope. The gun is a 30-30 so long range shooting won't be done and the  target is deer, so high magnification and large lens' aren't needed. My first thoughts went toward the idea of a 2-7X32mm sized scope, which was a popular size many years ago. I also would ideally like to keep the price to $200ish.

One scope that has caught my attention is the Weaver 2.5-7x28mm Classic Rimfire scope. I see that because it's a rimfire scope that parallax is adjusted for 50 yards, I don't believe this to be a problem since all of my hunting will be done at short range. Does anyone know of a reason why6 this scope wouldn't be perfect for what I need? Also, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me hear them.

I have had bad luck with rimfire scopes on a centerfire.  One reasoning is the recoil they are built for, they will not hold up.  If you just want something that is stainless check these out first

My choice for your application would be the last one.  Weaver is a decent brand and better than barska and tasco in my book but there are several scopes that are in your price range.  Again the rimfire would probably work for a little while, but it would have a short lifespan.  Keep in mind that "silver coating" on a rimfire model is made for rimfire recoil. That 30/30 will cause it to flake off inside the tube more than likely
