I just noticed that the Sightron SIIB 1.25-5x20 is no longer listed on the Sightron website nor on SWFA. Is this model being discontinues?

probably as this is the time of year where the scope companies all introduce new models and do away with ones that dont sell well enough for them.

Another excellent performing,lightweight and compact low ranged variable is discontinued.

It's dissapointing! Am I the only one left who hunts big game in close thick cover and takes shots at moving animals! All these 3-9, 3-15, 4-16, etc... scopes do nothing for me. I want massive FOV for real life hunting situations. I've never seen a monster buck just standing in a field 350 yards away just waiting for me to dial up the magnification so I can count the hairs on his shoulder.
 
Try to get on a deer running full speed though the woods when you're looking at a FOV the size of a trash can lid. It doesn't work so well and the deer wins every time. Seems like the "bigger is better" mentailty we have in this country has spread to scopes too.
