Hi,

Now that the Binos are out of the way, I'll now move on to scopes; hopefully you'll chime in.  This scope will be mounted on Rem 700 CDL .270 w/ shots no more than 250yds in low light.  I'm on a strict budget, so spending $200 would be ideal unless spending the extra $100 for a Bushnell 4200 can be justified.

- Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 ($170 ebay)

- Sightron SII 3-9x42 ($200 ebay)

- Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x40 ($270 swfa)

Thanks again for all your input.

Sean

That's an easy choice because you have little or no recourse if you buy something jacked up on e-bay. Stay on the safe side and buy from SWFA and yes the 4200 does  have better glass. I dont think you are saving much on the Sightron price shown since I can find one for 189.

SWFA will price match competitors but you have to figure shipping charges in too because some companies will charge a low item price and then add an excessive amount for packing it and shipping it.

You wanted to spend 170 on ebay buy the 198.95 package with the binoculars and I'll pitch in  $28.95 for the binoculars they can ship them to me.

I personally like the Sightron and the Bushnell, Urimaginaryfrnd is right, thats not a deal on ebay.  I like the glass on the Sightron, but I would also check to see if the inner bell dimensions will fit your rifle with standard mounts or extension mounts, with the 270, as Sightrons tend to be somewthat compact, so you may have to go with a different mounting system.  Either one, great scopes.  Burris also, but, I would go with one of the other 2.

SIghtron S2 and Elite 4200 will be better in low light than FFII.

Thanks again to everyone.  I found that $189 deal on the Sightrons.  I will soon be a proud owner of a Sightron SII 3-9x42.  Now I just need to find some Talley's.  Thanks again and let you know how the scope performs.

Best Regards,

Sean
