Ok, I want to know which is better optically, mechanically and warranty work wise? Which has the best low light performance and yet which has good resoloution day or dusk? Which one adjusts more accurately and holds zero better? I am getting an Elite 4200 or Conquest, this scope is for someone else. 3-9x40, 3-9x42 SII

Do I need chime in, or do you already know what I am going to say?

Anyhow, Monarch is a good scope, but Nikon is not known for being easy to deal with. Glass is probably comparable, Sightron has better adjustments and larger adjustment range.

Have you compared these scopes side by side in low light?

I've only been able to compare fixed 4x versions against each other (although I am setting up another comparison).  I liked the Sightron a little more for slightly better resolution.  Brightness seemed comparable.

As far as the glass goes, both S2 and Monarch are good.  Adjustment consistency and adjustment range make the difference.  SIghtron customer service is also easier to deal with, and the warranty is better.
