I have the Conquest 4.5x14x50 on an air rifle, it is a great scope but only focuses down to about 25 yards, not so good for an air rifle.
So the Sightron SII Big Sky 4x16x42 is the approx. same price but focuses down to 10 yards that is a big plus. I really love the optical quality of the Conquest, how does the Big Sky SII optics compare to the conquest.

Many thanks in advance.

Charlie

I have a Sightron II 4-16x42 on my .243, great scope. I have a Sightron SII Big Sky 6-24x42 with a dot on my .204, fantastic scope!  They are very clear and bright, and they get a large following on the Varmints Den. They are both brighter than my Leupold VX3 1.5-5x20 on my AR and rival my Swarovski 3-9x36 on my muzzy. Haven't compared them to a Conquest but they are plenty good enough that I don't need to compare them to anything .

Based on the glowing reviews on a birding forum, I even bought a Sightron "Blue Sky" 8x32 binoculars to keep in the console of my truck. Hard  to find a better bin for <$180 shipped.

The Sightron BS scopes are indeed very good. I have two (although not the one you referred to) and they have performed well. You could do a lot worse!
