With the new SWFA ratings chart it was pointed out that Sightron was having a large return of there scope's.This created doubt to even some long time Sightron owners who have owned many types of scopes with out any problems. If SWFA can point out how many scopes were sold and returned to them.On the Sample list well you start selling refurb Sightrons.

Both my friend, If I'm spending my hard earned money here and there complaining about the product, why not try to help solve it instead of bashing it.

I was under the impression that there was a problem with some early run Sightron items (perhaps the Big Sky line IIRC) and that these problems were sorted out. To be honest, I didn't follow all the Sightron threads so if I missed something perhaps there is something we could address.

It seems like the Quality Control of all the scopes sold to SWFA were not good including the newer scopes.

Well I just quickly skimmed through the Sightron thread here ( perhaps there is more I'm missing) and I haven't seen anything that makes me have an opinion one way or the other. Folks here, including myself, can get very passionate about their scope choices. For me, I happen to be a die-hard 4200 slut, cause I have put them through their paces and haven't had a single problem. I used to be a big fan of Leupold scopes but had issues with them that started after I began traveling via airline. Now before any of the Leupy groupies get their testes in a bind, I am only basing this on 2 different models (3 scope total). Might just be bad luck with Leupold and stellar luck with 6 Elite 4200 but it is what it is for me. We have one very respected (and well known) poster here that is a big fan of Leupold scopes and another very well respected poster who has had several duds from Leupold. So my point is that even Leupold runs out of Koolaid now and then.

Just seems the Sightron was singled out by this company in the 2009 ratings for a reliability issue.Just thought someone from corprate could address my concern.

hunter, could you provide a link to that thread?  I'd like to read about it!  Might explain some of JB's issues as well!
