I just recently sent back a Sightron S2 2-7x32 back due to a problem with holding zero.I recieved an email from Sightron that stated that over 90% of scopes returned to them were found to have no problem and returned to the customer.I called today and did speak to a technician at Sightron, he said that my scope is discontinued so it must be repaired. My S2 scope was mounted on a Thompson Center Encore 460 S&W magnum which has also broke a few other scopes.I asked the tech about the email that was sent to me from Sightron that said over 90% of scopes that were sent to them were found with no problem. The tech said that scopes were mounted improperly to the firearm.Sightron had such a high return rate that they created a repair department that found that over 90% of the scopes returned were working properly.Sightron is based in the USA and have friendly people working for them and are able to answer all your questions.

Having seen many scopes mounted improperly, I would tend to agree.

But they might try to find a more diplomatic way of saying, "Most people are stupid."

I guess they're catching on to those who are trying to take advantage of them.

Makes sense a perfectly working scope thats got some wear and scratches gets returned for a brand new scope.

When I talked with Alan Orr from Sightron in late December, they were in the process of setting up their in-house repair center.   -Al
