Looking to possibly buy a Big Sky for all-around hunting use, either the 3-9x42, 3.5-10x42, or 3-12x42.  Out of these, which one has the most "user friendly" eye box, that doesn't require precise head positioning for shot taking?

Also, in regards to the 3-12x42, would there be any issues with parallax above 10x, or any other issues that might make the 3-9 or 3.5-10 a better choice?  Thanks.

Well, I have a Sightron Big Sky SII 3-9x42. I have not mounted it yet but at lowest power it is fairly critical as to head eye postion and distance. As the power goes up to around 5 or 6 it seems very comfortable and not too bad. This is my observations by just looking through it while holding it. I would say it would be much less noticeable once mounted. It is a very nice scope optically however I dont like the wide plex reticle they have as much as the standard plex like the Bushnells have. I also had a Sightron SII 4x32 at one time and it was also very critical to head position but once mounted in that position it was a very good scope. It had very clear bright glass too. I have thought about selling the Big Sky if I find something I like better before I get a rifle for it.
