Anyone have field experience with this scope?  I just got a 30-06 for deer hunting and remembered how clear and bright my last scope of this magnification was and was wondering if this was worth the money?

Thanks
Chris

Chris, I did a quick search and came up with this. You might have to glean through it to find your answer though.

SEVERAL threads on sightrons on this forum. They are typically held in high regard.

This SII it, or are you considering the SIII in the same power range?

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

i have my eyes on that SIII 1.5-6x50 for my tikka.

wanna know why? because it has the german #4 reticle, that's why!!!

i sure wish the SII had more reticle choices.

People need to follow leupold and zeiss's lead on the reticle choices.

I have a Sightron S2 1.5-6X42 on my 336 30-30, and its an excellent choice for low light hunts.   And 6X is all I need for midwest deer hunts.  Its a good choice, wont regret it.
