Maybe I should say, re sighting in.  I took the scope off my 300 WM and had it on my 22-250 for the summer.  I put it back on my 300 for elk season and took it out to sight it in.  I have Kenton knobs on my Black Diamond that are calibrated for my rounds at this altitude, so I just sighted in at 100 yards.  Tomorrow I will try to get out and shoot it out to 500 or 600 yards.  Here are a few pics.

The 3 shots on the left were the results of the bore sighting.  The group in the middle is my 5 shot group for the night.  I only had about 45 minutes to work with tonight.

Here are a few shots of the range.

Not the best, but the black blob is the target stand.

Just another fast shot.

I will find out for you.  I really don't know what it is, but I can find out.

I forgot to mention that I was shooting 180 gr Hornady BTSP @ 3100 fps.  I am happy with that setup, but I will be playing with it for the next month or so before rifle season opens.

Nice target to start with. Some good velocity at 3100.
Good luck for the season.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of powder are you using in that load?

That is actually a factory round right now, but I am working up a load with r-22 that is getting close to that velocity without any pressure signs right now.

Helo,
Looks like I will be unable to make January. New requirements will have me on the road elsewhere. Had to readjust my whole leave schedule.
Thank you very much for the offer and hope we can do it some other time.

Gun: Rem 700 VSF 22-250 Rem, Harris Bi-pod
Scope: Burris XTR 3-12x50  Ballistic Plex
Round: Hornady V-Max Moly 50gr @ 3800fps
Range: 200 yards.
Weather: 40F, Calm wind, 46% humidity, 30.51 inHg
Elevation: 4600ft
Time: 16:30
Rounds fired: 30

Results:  Not what I wanted, but Wile E Coyote better watch out tomorrow, cause I am hunting him.  I will get a pic of the target posted here soon.  I think I had better results with the 40 and 45 gr bullets, but I want to try 55 gr as well.
