 Is the sig select worth 100 more than the fullfield II both being 3x9x40?

That depends on what you want the scope to do.  I think it is worth the extra money because the Signature series are more rugged and use better glass (Ultra Premium Polished).

Signature Select has beefier mechanical construction and better glass and glass polishing.  The coatings are the same.

If you can afford Signature Select it is a better scope in every way.  Is it worth the extra money? Yes.

Optical resolution is considerably better.

Right on.  Koshkin and Ranburr are correct, if you can, go with the signature select.
