Good Day Gents, Im not new, just have not posted here before. Here is my M1, with its old scope. Which has been removed, and am awaiting my SS 20x42. Here is my questions: As you can see by the pic, Ive turned the scope on its side, and am using the windage knob for elevation, and visa-vera. My main concern here is feeding clips. The spent shells fly forward and to the right. Do any of you see any problem with me doing this with the SS? Im figuring I can switch the caps, and have them read correctly, or not. Second question: When I installed the old scope. I shimmed the heck out of the scope in the mounts (not going to do that again). Also I had to use 75% of the adjustment to get it to boresight. This time Im going to mount it square, and take the base apart and machine the base to an low/right angle, so I can get the full use of the windage and ele knobs. Anyone have any better idea On how to bore sight this monster? Thanks in advance. |
