Special Pair of Browning Firearms

To Be Featured as 2011 SHOT Show Guns

One Gun Features Serial # 1911

And One Can Not Be Revealed

Until January 1, 2011

A one-of-a-kind pair of Browning firearms, including one model that can not be revealed until January 1, 2011, will be featured as 2011 SHOT Show auction guns on GunBroker.com.

One of the unique pair of guns is a special edition of the newly introduced Browning Model 1911-22 with special engraving commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the 1911 and featuring Serial Number "1911".

The Browning Model 1911-22 is a newly designed and scaled- down version of the original John Browning-designed .45 caliber 1911. It features a machined aluminum slide and frame with a high gloss blue finish, and checkered double-diamond walnut grips. It has a 4 ˝ barrel and weighs only 15 ounces.

The left side of the special SHOT Show auction edition of the Model 1911-22 features scroll engraving with a gold banner proclaiming John M. Browning, Master Inventor and a gold Browning Buck Mark.

The right side features scroll engraving with a gold banner celebrating the timeless design of John Browning and John Browning's initials in gold.

The top of the slide features a gold John M. Browning signature.

The second featured Browning SHOT Show can not be announced until January 1, 2011. At press time, officials could not reveal if the new Browning was a shotgun, rifle or handgun.

The guns will be auctioned as a package and will be cased together in a special velvet-lined walnut presentation case with a printed glass lid. The top of the lid proclaims the 100th anniversary of the famous John M. Browning design of the 1911. The inside of the lid will also feature photos and artwork that can not be revealed at this time.

Each of the featured Brownings is made in the USA and will come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Browning.

Both SHOT Show guns will be displayed during the SHOT Show in the Browning Booth, Number 15540.

As in recent years, bidding for the SHOT Show auction items will take place exclusively on GunBroker.com. GunBroker.com is a partner of both of the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the Hunting Heritage Trust.

The Browning SHOT Show auction will open for bidding on http://www.gunbroker.com/ beginning on January 1, 2011 and close at 1:00 pm Friday, January 21, 2011.

All proceeds from the auction of these special firearms will benefit programs of the Hunting Heritage Trust to further America's hunting and shooting sports heritage. The SHOT Show auction is administered by the Hunting Heritage Trust for the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
