A quick update.

I continue to pour rounds through my RMS-equipped pistol and I like it allot - enough to move the RMR off my carry pistol and replace with an RMS.

As said (and shown) above, if the optic fails, sights are still there doing their thing, so an optic failure isn't as catastrophic as it would be if the optic precluded use of irons.  And I hate suppressor-height sites, they chew up holsters and shirts and generally excel at pissing me off.

If you want a 4MOA RMS, everyone seems to be out, except Shield proper.

The dot is visible from in front of the weapon; however, it is a handgun, if I am pointing it at you, the hole beneath the optic should be of much more concern than the tiny, dim red light you see.  It isn't bright, but it is there.

More to follow.

Equality is something you whine about not being given.

 Another quick update.

With a few thousand more rounds through 2 guns with RMS and 1 with RMR, I am still trying to get fully comfortable with a dot on a handgun.  I have been doing it for many years with rifles, but something has not yet "clicked" in my head when it comes to pistols.

Strangely, for slow fire range work, it is fine; but when it comes to drills, I am slower (and/or less accurate) with the dot than I am irons.  Granted, I am a few months in, unlearning/relearning what I spent the better part of 30 years learning otherwise.

I'm still pissed at my Glocks, I cannot find a comfortable hand position that keeps my trigger finger from touching anything but trigger blade.  It drags the frame or trigger guard - and I hate that.

I shoot the Glocks fine, not nearly as well as a 1911 or HK, but have confidence in them; I just hate the feel of it.

I'll give it a bit longer, but may eventually dump all but my smallest Glock and go back to what I know and love.

For the record, my LoneWolf frame has none of the issues my "GlocK' glocks have, other than trigger that I don't love.

For very low light or for night-vision-use scenarios, I like red dots on handguns.  For everything else, I am still an iron sights guy.  But I am still trying to be a red dot handgun guy!
