So I just wanted to give you guys a quick update on my experience with Seekins Precision.

First, let me say that the quality of the base and the rings appears to be A+++++.

However, the customer service gets an F-.

Here is why:

 I got my rings and base in the mail approximately 3 days ago, on May 18th. I placed my order for them back in March. When I ordered them I was told that it would be 1 to 2 weeks before they would ship.

It was more like 2 months. In the mean time, I wrote them 3 or 4 emails before getting a reply to what was taking so long, and when the female that works there finally shipped them to me, her email said "Feel lucky you got these, because they were the last ones from this batch". This is approximately 2 months after I placed the order.

So... if you want to go with Seekins for your Base and Rings, I would certainly commend the quality of the product. However, be willing to wait an undetermined period of time before actually receiving them, and do not expect much feedback in the mean time.

 Wouldn't to test out their CS if something went wrong though!

I have had a couple dealings with Glen Seekins.  He was very easy to get a hold of and spent 20 minutes talking on the phone with me about his products and proper use of them.

Sorry yours was different, but I doubt it is regular with him.  He is a busy man and has a lot of demand.

I've had nothing but good luck with Seekins and also got help with a project from him. I also have never had a delay with bases or rings with both sets I got from a vendor who carries them.

Maybe that is the issue. I ordered directly from Seekins Precision site, rather than a vendor. To give you an idea, ordered the rings initially in March, got them in May, after told 2-3 weeks. Then, needed to send the rings back to trade out. (No fault of theirs, just decidied to go with a 1 inch scope, rather than 30mm).

So... sent them back end of May.. it is July 4th now, still waiting on the replacements back.

I understand quality takes time, but geez. Creating a back order or something. I still haven't fired the rifle.

I've run into Glen a couple of times and he seemed like a really good guy.  His products are certainly top notch!

I am sorry to hear you did not get much support from him, but I am glad you like the rings now that they are in your hands.

Once again, not trying to dog on the quality of the rings or base. And for the record, I have never spoken to the man. I have no doubt in my mind that he is a great person.

What I am saying is this: If you are going to get rings & base from Seekins Precision (At least directly), as I have no experience going through a secondary vendor;

Simply be prepared to wait 2 - 4 months staring at your beloved gun project before you can slap the scope on.
