Hey All,

I have a Savage 11FL .308 with open sites amd am looking to upgrade the glass. Had a cheap 4x14x40 BSA on it for a while but have since decided to upgrade the glass. Intend to use it for mulies this Winter with a potential 3-400 engagement in mountain shaded terrain with a 60 degree temp differential. My initial budget is 250-400.

Any suggestions are welcome...originally I was considering either a Bushnell 3200 4x12x40AO or Nikon 4x12x40AO UCC Monarch. The Nikon was winning out on the basis of warranty over the Bushnell but they disappeared so I began considering the 3.3-10x44 but have a concern about barrel\Leaf clearance.

Any others out there to recommend, I wasn't really impressed with the Leupolds for the price range I was in

Any help, comments, recommendations or sage advice would be appreciated

Regards,

Jeff

If you are looking at the 3200 Elite, you should  be able to find the  Browning version in 4-12 AO for under $200. It is essentially the same scope, but  was recently discontinued.
