I worked at Sears back in the 70s, in sporting goods. Most of their brand name guns were made by Winchester, but some of their shotguns were imported from Spain. The best I could tell you is to try to find a brand name shotgun like Win. or H&R that looks like yours and compare them.
You might also look on the barrel to see if it is stamped with cyl, imp, mod, or full; this will tell you how it is choked.

thanks for the tips, i looked on the barrel and it doesnt say the choke which i thought was weird. almost every other shotgun iv ever looked at does. i might take it down to the local gun shop have them take a look.

Apparently some knowledge here....
I have a 1960's Sears .22 Mag lever action.
Can anyone shed some light on that one.

Mine is a Ranger 5100 16 ga. My dad bought it from Sears in the early 40's and handed it down to me for my firat gun in the mid 60s. Like Saitotiktmdog it started out as a 30". Cut to 28" for Dove hunting. When he started more Quail huntng it was cut to 26". That kind of messed it up for doves a lttle because of reducing the effectve range. The firing pin wore down from so much shooting and I made a new one. It is still my favorite when I can find 16 Ga. shells for it. Smile
