Does anyone know of a single table that may list the tube lengths for many different scopes?  I recently bought a 300 H&H on a Remington Express magnum length action.  It has redfield mounts on it,  and from front to back, they measure almost 6 inches apart.  Any suggestions on scopes, or a source of information would be greatly appreciated...B

I do not know of a single source for this, so you kinda have to go and look at the specs from different manufacturers, but generally Elite 4200 scopes tend to have pretty long tubes.

Some manufacturers publish that information on their websites.  Sightron and Burris definitely do, as does Leupold I believe.

A lot depends on what kind of magnification you are looking for. Low range variable that do not have a front bell shoudl work fine.  Also higher magnification scopes of 4-16x40 variety from Burris, Sightron and Bushnell (Elite 4200) should be long enough as well.

Thanks Koshkin, I was hoping to find a 3x9, and Burris was high on my list.  If you are a big fan of the Burris, how big a difference have you noticed between the fullfields and the signature?

Let me know what scope you want the measurement on and I'll go and measure it. Most of this information isn't published anywhere.

The shortest 3X9 would be a Leo compact, I believe they are calling it the ultralight nowdays.

Here is the information from Burris specsheet (available on their website).  Dimension J is the tube length between frons and rear bells.  If you can afford it go with Signature Select 3-10x40.  I am not sure how to quantify the difference between Fullfield II and Signature Select, but it is sufficiently significant to be worth the money, IMO.
