a silver kahles would be a great thing, to bad they dont make one so i will have to settle for a zeiss conquest in that respect.

leupold varixII circa 1998 silver 3x9x40 a good scope in the day, but other than built like a tank its glass isnt up to par anymore, i may retire that scope from that rifle but i wont ever get rid of it.

Nothing wrong with a 1998 vxII, it's paid for and it works and should provide a lifetime of hunting, let alone the sentimental value it appears to have.

I was ready to do a kahles till I started asking how heavy the reticle was and whether it was effected by light and changed color. Than I heard about the eye position being a little on the tight side......I was already not real gung ho on the 50mm objective. I believe when you got something that works for your hunting style and conditions and its giving you perfect service that maybe the best move is not to move away from whats working so well. Conquest may not have the best optics out there but they are enough for me so far and nary a complaint. The show special conquests will be available soon and maybe I'll try that little 2.5x8x32......light and small with the optics and features I love. I bet one of them can be had pretty reasonable before long......

Hey Pyro, had one of those silver Vari x ll's on a stainless 7mm-08 a while back when my leupold foo was strong......mighty pretty and handy too.

I just made a move, I bought a NIB Swarovski PH 2.5-10X42 with a 7a reticle for my Montana 30 06. Hope I like the 7a reticle, I'll let everyone know when I get it.

Looking at the 7a on the Swarovski web site, it kind of looks to me like a 4a with an extra vertical post on top, I'll let you know when it arrives on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Looks like I am leaning toward an EOTech 512 or Bushnell Holosight ( any difference? ) for the M-4 I am currently piecing together. May take another couple months to scrounge the funds. Anyone have a take on these two optics?
It is going on a Stag upper with quadrail and Midwest Ind ERP sight mounted over a DPMS CAR receiver.Big%20Grin

I am hoping to buy another scope by spring to put on a 7MM. I am leanig toward Trijicon 3x9x40 TR20 or Kahles 3x9x42 CL. Is the Kahles a 100.00 better than the Trijicon? I would love to get my hands on both and give a look and feel........maybe I can get Chris to send me one of each, you think he would do that? (haha)
