I am not sure if I should post this in the scope forum, but being a bit new to all this I thought maybe this would be better and not all the clever guys hang out here. They may laugh at me like all the guys at the range. You see I have this rifle with a rather oooollllld scope thingy on it. I think the cross inside it is broken because I cannot find a black line like a cross or anything. So I just look through it and shoot. I must say all the guys are jealous because the scope thingy is very clear and bright and I can see all their bullet holes. It makes me feel very important when they ask me to tell them where their bullet holes are.
But I think it is time to upgrade.

Any advise please.

I post below a picture of my current setup then you can see maybe what is wrong and tell me???

At least with your rig you won't have to worry about eye dominance

I'm not sure anything is wrong. I'm guessing that depth of field is fantastic, Eye relief could be a problem though.

I find that crosshairs are highly overrated anyway and just tend to clutter up the image.  Looks like your good to go to me.
