For the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to test two Scope Shields on my rifles.  On sits on my 300 Win Mag over a Burris Black Diamond.  The second sits on my 270 Win covering a Super Sniper Variable.

The cover on my SS is a little snug, but still fits fine.  The one on my BD is perfect fit in my opinion.  They go on easy, and the best part is they come off fast and quiet!  No pop of scope covers opening.  The loop on the front keeps it attached to the gun so you don't loose it.  Since I always have a sling on the gun I am hunting with, I don't have to worry about it coming off.  If you don't use a sling, I would tie that loop to a sling stud.  The cover also protects the whole scope.  I like that.  Can't tell you how many scratches I have on scopes, because it wasn't covered.  Makes a great cover in storage, but the best use is in the field.  It has been snowing lately here in Montana, and the covers are great for that.  They can get wet, but the repel water and snow very well.  Also I have not noticed any condensation on the lenses of the scope while using these covers like I did with the flip up covers.

Originally when I first put the cover on my SS I thought that the cover was going to interfer with the bolt operation.  The bolt on my 98 Military Mauser action is pretty big, and I though it would catch on the cover sticking down, but it never did.  The bolt cycled smoothly never catching one.

I highly recommend these covers.  Thunbs Up I will be getting covers for the rest of my scopes as soon as I can.
