Thanks to all who sent advice, I am taking yours and stepping up (I'll get a second job if I have to LOL). For anyone else that wants to voice an opinion, it will be married to a Remington 700 ADL, Synthetic, 30-06 Spgfld, used for deer and elk, in canyons and wheat fields, for long shots, and I need to be able to verify the 3-pt. minimum around here especially come dusk...

I am leaning towards the Burris FF II and the Weaver Classic V16

Note that higher powers will reduce the brightness of the image.

I will go off on a tangent and suggest a good set of binoculars to identify the game in those situations.  Investing in a good set of Binocs could be another solution.

Another plus is that your investment benefits hunting with any and all of your hunting rifles.

I have the same dilemma you have Canyon runner.  We also have the 3 point minimum where I hunt and it is difficult to size up a rack at 3-4 hundred yards when you don't have much time.   People have suggested I use binoculars, and  my 3.5x10 Leupold should be fine.   Apparently they are hunting under very different curcumstances than I am.  I am leaning towards a Burris FFII 6.5x20 or Signature Select 4x16 with Ballistic Mil-dot.
