I have a Horus Vision Sporting 1000 scope  bought from them direct in 2005.  The side focus stopped working and the view through the scope is not clear/out of focus.  Horus advised that they can not help me as the scope is out of warranty and is no longer made.  They advised that the scope was made by Hakko- I guess they are out of busness now too. Is there a company that can repair my scope?  Thanks for the help

There probably is someone out there somewhere that can repair it but the bad news is that the cost would be prohibitive. There is a reason these guys went out of business. If you select from the brands of scopes offered on this web site you should not have that type of problem in the future.

urimaginaryfrnd- thanks for being so helpful.  For anyone else with a optic problem you might want to contact Osborne Optical Systems in Az 928-632-8717.  He gave me a quote of $100 and said the side focus linkage is a weak point for this scope for heavy calibers- I was using a 50 bmg.  Anyway he seemed very knowledgeable.

Why do you buy a new one? It is very cheap now.
