Hey all, first post here. I have lurked for a while but never had a reason to really post anything until now.

I just had a quick question and I didn't know what scope sub-forum to put it in so if this is in the wrong spot mods feel free to move it.

I just received a hardly used Remington 700 SPS Tactical and it has a Bushnell Banner 6-24x40mm scope with mil dot. I am not really in the position to get a better scope at this moment (eyeing a SS Variable for Christmas) so I will have to use this one for now. When I asked the previous owner about the scope he said that he has never had any problems with it in losing zero or any of that. He said that the edges blur past 18x and what not and the glass is what you would expect for the price range of the scope. He than mentions that the Mil Dots for this scope were aligned to work at the 10 magnification mark. I was under the impression that SFP Mil Dot scopes where set to use the mil dots at the highest magnification. Can anyone comfirm that this scope's reticule is set for use at 10x? There is nothing on the website and my search-fu on Google comes up short.

thanks in advanced
