What is it going to be used for? What is your price range? and what kind of rifle will it be mounted on?

I would get a Zeiss 4.5-14 with target knobs. Or the 3-9 SS variable. I have not had the pleasure of looking through one yet but people I respect are loving it. Still have some money for ammo.

3 x 9 SS Variable... I have looked through it and I am getting rid of a couple of Leupolds and getting the SS 3 x 9... I don't think you can go wrong with the SS... IMO

Koshkin did a review of the 6500, do a search for it.  He seemed to like it well.  I have looked through one in the store and it was pretty good.  I have not had the opportunity to shoot with one.
