Hey everyone,

Have an opportunity to pick up a Stag Varminter (AR-15) in .223 at a steal and was looking for thoughts on a 300 yard scope for coyotes.  I have a Kahles 3-9x42 CL and a Helia 8x50 lying around, but was wondering if I shouldn't go for a bit higher end power.  I'm looking at teh Kahles 4-12x52 CL or was wondering if a 14 or 16 power would be better.  My eyes aren't the best but I hear once you get above 10x there is shake in the scope whether you have a bipod or a rest.

Any thoughts?

IMHO- I think you would be happy with the 4x12x52 GREAT CHOICE.

I am putting a 3-12 on my 22-250 and that is plenty.  Your 3-9 Kahles would work great as well.
