Measures - Counter Measures   Get Your Popcorn Ready  makes me want to go fishing.
If this was affordable this would do for shooting what happened in photography when they went from manual adjust the F stop and aperture to auto cameras --- BUT just because everyone could get correct exposure didnt mean they knew the basics or when to override the system to compensate for other factors.  One would have to be a sucker to buy it now, when computer gear changes so quickly cause next year it will be twice as good for half the price, but it wont matter then because you already cant find bullets.

Im actually surprised they are letting this tech out on the civilian market as it would seem to be a risk to high value targets but I have seen no indication there is common sense at play where I work.

I do not think anyone is "letting this technology out".  From computational standpoint, this is fairly trivial and there is nothing secret about how it works.

These guys are located here in Austin..
They are VERY well funded, like, Forbes top 5 kind of money...

Some of my buddies have been out on the range with them during development over the last year.

I am going to hook up with them in a few weeks and shoot with them for the fun of it..

They are going after the guys with a lot more money than me!

The wind is always going to be the deciding factor in long range and is by far the hardest thing to master..

Sooner or later an affordable sensor, sensitive enough to read airborne dust partials and the capability to sweep a focal point from muzzle to target... After that it's just math...  Probably already something exists that will do so... Just not cost effective and or the application hasn't occurred to the right people yet.

Guided bullets seem like a better alternative, but maybe not.

I didn't watch the whole video, but how much does thing weigh?  Looks like you'd have to lug it around on an appliance cart.  Cool idea, but like someone else said...kinda sucks the fun out of shooting (and a whole lotta cash out of your wallet).

WOW I am not sure about this world we live in!
How are we all soposed to teach our kids work ethic and patients when technolgy is making everything so easy on humanity???!!!! Its like todays compound bow and arrows with 80% let off and 350+ fps! By the time my 1 yr old bow hunts with me it will be 99% let off and 500fps taking the arch out of archery!!!!! Kinda makes me wish I grew up in the good ol days (as i start my truck with my remote start) lol

But seriously I think Im gonna try and bring my boys up on traditional archery and say heck with these dang compounds! And this scope will NEVER have a place in my arsonal!
Dont take yourself to seriously

Do you have a musket for home defense?

Right now, you must have the rifle AND scope.   That will change over time.

The world is always resistant to change... Look at Gen Custer... he, and the Army, chose single shot rifles KNOWING that the Indians had access to repeaters.  How'd that turn out for you?

Resistance is futile...
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

I went out and did a demo of this today..
I had lengthy discussions about what went into it the R&D
They brought out doppler radars to track bullet flights, etc..
There are 50 employees there, mostly engineering staff.

It was pretty interesting discussing the engineering that went into it.

Shooting the 338 Lapua felt like a 308

Not for everyone for sure, but the technology is there and they can scale it down for less expensive systems down the road.

Imagine if it had night vision or thermal capability?

I am going to hook up with them and go wack some pigs long range at our lease.
That would be FUN!!
