I do not know anything about those mounts, but I moved the topic into the mounts section.

welcome to OT! do you mean paul jaeger? if so he was a gunsmith who, as far as I know mainly built custom mausers. I would not hesitate to use any paul jaeger product.

Hello...I'm new to this site and too long distance rifle shooting. I've done a lot of bench shooting with smaller calibers that don't need angled ring bases so that will be my question. I have bought a used Armalite .50 BMG (AR-50) which had the Picatinny rail already mounted. I have since bought a Nightforce 8-32x56mm Benchrest NBR scope and their Unimount (1 piece) ring mount which has 20 MOA built into it. On further research I found out Armalite makes a 15 MOA and a 50 MOA picatinny rails. Once I aligned and leveled the scope I used a lazer bore sighter in an attempt to align the reticles to the dot at 25 yards. The windage was dead on but the elevation was at the very top of the reticle scale and moving out to 100 yards it went even further up and out of the scope viewing window. Does anyone know how I can check the MOA angle for the Armalite picatinny rail ? With lots of MOA built into rails & uni-ring/base sets can they be used under a few hundred yards ? How do you get your initial reticle alignment and at what distance ? Again I very much a novice at shooting beyond 800 yards and angled rails & ring bases are confusing to me,but I want to learn and any knowledge consening it will be greatly appreciated.......

If I have Armalite's 15 MOA with the Nighforce Unimount's 20 MOA then I have total 35 MOA.....

But with Armalite's 50 MOA with the Nighforce Unimounts 20 MOA I'd have a staggering 70 MOA.....

Welcome Dutch.

I have a friend who loves NF mounts too. They indeed are top shelf mounts.
