I have a "hoglite destroyer" that I have been using for some time now, mounted on the barrel of my rifle. It makes it very front heavy, but eliminates almost all reflected light to the rear. I'm wondering if the barrel clamp has any affect on accuracy. I haven't noticed any. But I thought I would mount it on the scope like most of the advertisements show. I'm now wondering  (seems I do that a lot now days) if it would have any negative affect on the scope. It needn't be clamped more than just enoulgh to keep it from moving, and the clamp has the lining material to keep it from scratching the scope. So,,,,any ideas?    Thanks, Gary

Yep I'd keep it off the scope if you like the scope if not knock yourself out.  This is one of those questions where you really have to ask yourself - If it is working now do I really want to fix it.
