I recently borrowed a friends Nikon Sky & Earth 20-60x80 spotting scope when we were at the shooting range.

All I can say is I'm very impressed with the quality of the glass! The iamge was sharp, very detailed, and I could clearly see the trace from about 100 yards in front of us all the way to the 1000 yard backstop..

I'm thinking about purchasing one of these scopes. However, before I drop $500 on another spotting scope I want to know if there are any others in this price range that I should look at first? What are some others in this price range that are of similar quality, and how would you rate them against the Nikon?

Thanks in advance,

--Chris
