I have a Elite Car A4 that has a detachable tactical carry handle.Wondering what would be a good scope for shooting up to 100 yards.I am using gun to shoot at targets and for plinking.Thinking of a fixed power up to 4x and also what rings would work. Gun has front sight.Thanks.

thats what I have mounted.  Works real well, I have put several sub 1/2 MOA groups with that scope.  When you mount it make sure the bdc tracks along your phumb line(if you are going to use the bbc), the reticle on mine was slightly off from how the bdc tracks.

It all depends on your price range. My choice would be a 30mm Leupold Mark 4   1.5-5 with the illuminated special purpose reticle mounted in the ultra high Badger Ordinance rings.  There are probably as many right answers to this question as there are people who read it.  The Weaver V3 in the 1x to 3x is a popular not too expensive scope. An Aimpoint would be a good choice or an EOTech or a Trijicon and each has certain features that make them quite nice. Specify a price range and how you intend to use the rifle and we will be able to make a more accurate suggestion.

I also use the IOR here on my AR15:

I have no problems putting 1/2" groups at 100 yards with it, and the bdc is very repeatable.  The little dot in the center of the cqb reticle really helps aim small, while allowing for fast aquisition, depending on what type of shooting you are doing.

One thing to keep in mind when mounting is that the bdc does not move the center point of aim directly in line with the crosshair(on mine).  Make sure that as you click down or up with the BDC it stays on your plumb line for mounting and proper use.  If you are going to use hold overs make sure to mount the reticle perfectly vertical.  The difference was minute(I'm not sure most people would even notice), but still existant.

The optical quality is great, I can see more details with the IOR at 4x than I could with my old SS 10x42.

You could just use the open sights or put a tritium front sight on the rifle.
