I'm looking for a little help with a scope for my browning auto 22.  I'm not super set on price, but I don't want to go to crazy on a plinker... 75-125 sound right?  I'm kind of leaning towards a fixed power, maybe 3 or 4.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

To make things more difficult, I'm really hoping to find a gloss finish.  So far I've only seen a Leupold that has a gloss finish.  Anyone have any experience with this 4x28 FX-1 Leupold?  Kind of higher that I was hoping in terms of price... worth it?

Just don't tell me it was made in Belgium and has the little wheel sight and you are going to use your hand drill to ...  These can be classy guns, and I've seen them hacked up so bad it makes me want to cry.

I wish.  I wouldn't even consider modifying something like that.

The one I have is just a couple years old.  Made in Japan, Grade 1.  Still a sweet little plinker, but not a collector.

Does anyone know if there is any major difference between the FX-1 and the M8 from Leupold?  They both are 4x28.  Is the M8 discontinued?

Leupold already discontinued the M8 line of scopes . Although you can still purchase old stocks M8 NIB . The FX line of scopes has replace the M8.
